At Staurheim you live in a characteristic farm environment with a large, stylish, enclosed farmyard. The former cheese dairy and the wash-house have recently been refurbished and converted to holiday houses. Here is plenty of space for both activities and relaxation.
Staurheim has a large, level, enclosed square farmyard with plenty of space for activities. Here you find swings, trampoline, sandbox, and playhouse. In the woods behind the farmstead you will find a fine terrain for walks, with signposted trails. The farm animals are fond of people and enjoy being treated as pets. Footpath all the way to central Bø. About ourselves and our farm At Staurheim live Gunleik Smestad and Ingrid Thorseth with their children Anders, Elise and Håvard. The history of the farm goes way back to the Viking Age. In the forest there are several burial mounds and other cultural relics from those times. The farm has a splendid view towards the Lifjell mountains and is surrounded by large cornfields and forests with fine opportunities for walks. Corn and timber are the foundations for the farm’s economy.
Activities: Cuddle with animals, collect eggs in the chicken house, forest walks in the area, table tennis, carpentry workshop, trampoline, play room, swings, summer activities (football, badminton, kubbspill, croquet, frisbee and more), bonfire.
